  • Monitor equipment efficiency (OEE) and preventive/predictive maintenance process to identify problems and set up corrective repairs.
  • Drive improvements to the plant preventive maintenance system, to include implementation of TPM (total productive maintenance)
  • Work in direct support of engineers assigned to the maintenance engineering department and receive guidance in the use of the organization standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and programming of all systems as required.
  • Initiates and elemental engineering studies into equipment and process failures and presents the resulting data to senior engineers for review and approval to gain in-depth knowledge and experience prior to moving to higher complexity assignments.
  • Develop and enter Preventative Maintenance program into Maintenance Connect.
  • Maintains and updates documentation of new and existing systems in assigned areas; maintains and updates electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings for new and modified equipment.
  • Assists manufacturing on productivity, ergonomic, quality and safety issues to ensure timely problem resolution. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
  • Analyzes equipment and MES data to help develop and deploy engineering solutions and improved maintenance strategies.
  • Responsible for development of Predictive Maintenance Program (PdM) using the following equipment and technologies: Ultrasound, IR Thermal, Vibration, Alignment, Wear Particle Analysis, Oil Analysis
  • Gathers and examines basic reliability data from past studies and correlates data for analysis using well defined engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of budgets for assigned areas; prepares project folders and conducts model and capacity studies with budget development.
  • Provides system problem solving in assigned areas; ensures continuous reliability and uptime improvements to systems in assigned areas; analyzes trends and symptoms, addresses quality and downtime concerns, and provides countermeasures in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for continued development and implementation of Maintenance Connect CMMS to improve asset management
  • Assist engineers in developing budget forecast and capital expenditure justification.
  • Assists in identifying top potential downtime issues throughout the system.
  • Provides training and information to maintenance and production personnel for new and existing equipment.
  • Communicate and schedule equipment needs with maintenance personnel, production planners and supervisors, to include proactive, predictive, urgent, minor, and major maintenance work.
  • Maintain department repair records in a manner to best identify future preventive maintenance needs.
  • Specifies, designs, and installs production and facilities systems in assigned area; monitors systems and provides modifications as required to support model changes in assigned area; provides emergency response to daily manufacturing support problems.
  • Scope, id, award, and supervise contractor maintenance work and capital projects.
  • Communicates with vendors and suppliers to ensure QCDS goals and cost reduction objectives are met; works with vendors and suppliers on new technologies for better ways to implement manufacturing methods and produce quality products.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to assist others in failure analysis to avoid future failures.
  • Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, OSHA, ISO14000, ISO9000, ISO55000, ISO50001, ISO13374 and IATF16949.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, bearings, and power transmission systems
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift with hands and arms frequently throughout the day.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • RCA Methods (Root Cause Analysis)
  • Knowledge as required of computer programming languages, computer systems development, ultrasonic welding technologies, and basic purchasing processes.
  • Highly automated, clean, safe, and temperature-controlled production environment
  • CMRP, CRL, CRE, and RMIC are all advantageous.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, robotics and PLC’s.
  • Generally familiar with the following: ANSI, NEC, OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, IS0 55001/PAS 55. Familiarity and understanding with IATF 16949 is advantageous.
  • Have completed an internship/co-op in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Required to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • 0-2 years of related experience at a professional level.
  • FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action)
  • FMECA (Failure Modes and Effects and Criticality Analysis)
  • Understanding of basic reliability methodology and theory:
  • Ability to identify causes of failure through Root Cause Failure Analysis and “5 Why” approach.
  • Knowledge of MS suite, (Access, Project, Excel, etc.) is recommended and thorough knowledge of CAD software is a must have.
  • Knowledge of basic reliability and data related gathering and processing methodologies.
