This lead position within Sargent & Lundy's Consulting Group manages consulting engagements for power system studies and transmission interconnection projects, coordinating with both clients and internal teams. The role provides guidance and oversight to junior engineers on power system modeling and analysis, and actively participates in business development by identifying new work, preparing proposals, and defining project scope, schedule, and budget. It also requires staying current with industry technology and emerging applications.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and bring at least 12 years of engineering experience, including five years leading power‑systems teams. Core expertise includes load flow and contingency analysis to identify thermal and voltage constraints, as well as proficiency with transmission planning software such as PSS/E, PSLF, and TARA. Advanced degrees and additional skills in stability, electromagnetic transient, short‑circuit analysis, ISO/RTO knowledge, and scripting languages are valued.
