AECOM is hiring a Data Analytics & Visualization Lead for the Chicago Department of Water Management’s Capital Improvement Program. The role will design and maintain BI and analytics solutions, integrate diverse data sources, and build Power BI dashboards that support operations, engineering, maintenance, and capital planning. The position serves as a technical team lead and mentor, guiding junior analysts while collaborating closely with DWM stakeholders.
- Design and optimize SQL Server pipelines, stored procedures, and ETL workflows.
- Integrate EAM, GIS, and operational datasets into unified analytical models.
- Build KPI frameworks for engineering and utility management.
- Develop semantic data models and datasets for Power BI dashboards.
- Create and maintain intuitive Power BI dashboards for operations, engineering, maintenance, and capital planning.
- Apply visualization and UX best practices to dashboard design.
- Collaborate with DWM stakeholders to gather requirements, prototype, and iterate solutions.
- Mentor junior analysts/engineers and conduct design reviews.
- Coordinate data alignment across engineering, GIS, EAM, water quality, and program controls teams.

Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least eight years of experience, with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, and data modeling.
