The Manufacturing Process Engineer will develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, cut costs, and improve product quality. Responsibilities include analyzing existing processes, pinpointing improvement opportunities, and delivering solutions through process design, equipment selection, and data analysis. The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of manufacturing principles, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

• Optimize process yield and productivity through continuous improvement programs.
• Develop, maintain, and validate process data for new and existing equipment/products.
• Generate and update work instructions for production processes as required.
• Participate in New Product Development (NPD) to evaluate concepts, design, and prototype testing.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly reviews with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams.
• Identify and lead implementation of new and enhanced electronic assembly capabilities.
• Design and develop fixtures and tooling; select and coordinate with suppliers.
• Create, update, and maintain manufacturing documents for pre‑production through design verification, validation, and process validation.
• Drive engineering prototype and first‑article jobs, providing data for improvements to electrical and mechanical teams.
• Collaborate with quality engineering to resolve customer quality issues related to manufacturing processes.
• Supervise operator training; ensure experience with semi‑automated equipment (PLC, robot, CNC, AGC) and monitor KPIs.
• Present process and project concepts confidently to key stakeholders.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting to resolve problems.

Requirements

Hithium Tech USA has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Mesquite area and is seeking a passionate, process‑focused Manufacturing Process Engineer. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship, as the company does not provide visa transfers.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (IE, EE, ME, Materials Science, etc.).
• Possess 5+ years of progressive experience in electronics or semi‑automated manufacturing, especially in high‑mix, low‑volume settings.
• Knowledge of electro‑mechanical assembly processes.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes.
• Familiarity with process automation.
• Proficiency with IPC and ISO standards.
• Understand ISO standards, audits, and inspection techniques; experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification.
• Ability to handle job stress and collaborate effectively with coworkers.
• Fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Capable of following detailed written and oral instructions.
