The Project Engineer will support field operations and engineering coordination for one of the SR400 segments, handling short‑term planning, documentation, and technical support to ensure efficient and compliant construction. This role works closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and senior engineers to track progress, manage documentation, and uphold quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain three‑week lookahead schedules for structures, drainage, utilities, and paving.
- Monitor daily production data using cost codes linked to the project WBS.
- Coordinate material, equipment, permit, and resource availability with field crews.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, redlines, and as‑built drawings.
- Ensure compliance with GDOT specifications, TIFIA reporting, and SRTA environmental requirements.
- Attend weekly progress and safety meetings and contribute updates.
- Track site activities in Procore, HCSS, and Bluebeam.
- Assist senior engineers with quantity takeoffs, estimating, and resource planning.
- Support quality inspections, material certifications, and permit tracking.
- Participate in project closeout, including punch‑list walks and final documentation.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have at least three years of field experience in infrastructure, roadway, or bridge construction. Familiarity with GDOT projects, AASHTO/FHWA standards, and proficiency in construction software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS are required, along with a valid driver’s license and strong communication skills.
