The primary responsibility is to assist the Tax Team with federal and state income tax accounting, compliance, consulting, and defense. Daily tasks include compiling and analyzing financial information, researching and documenting tax filing positions, performing account reconciliations, preparing tax returns, and providing administrative assistance.
Qualified candidates are college students majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Interns must be able to work full‑time (40 hours/week) from early June to late August and at least 15 hours/week during the school year, with remote work permitted during academic terms.
Kimberly-Clark offers a year‑round Tax Co‑Op/Internship that provides exposure to complex accounting and tax issues within a collaborative team environment. Interns work full‑time during the summer and winter break and then contribute 15 hours per week while attending school, supporting the company’s strategic business goals.
Interns receive standardized onboarding and training, mentorship from a program coach, and real‑time feedback. The role also includes a visit to a Kimberly‑Clark manufacturing location, leading an individual project within the business unit, conducting hands‑on analyses, and interacting with senior leaders and peers from other functions.
