Awareness of hydrological assessment using rainfall-runoff (e.g. ReFH2) and statistical methods
Communicate effectively as part of a distributed and multi-disciplinary team and be able to work and manage time and resources effectively
Awareness of the National Planning Policy Framework and Planning Policy Wales in relation to assessing and managing flood risk
Hold a valid UK driving licence for site visits
Knowledge and understanding of GIS software, preferably ArcGIS or QGIS
Author clear, concise and technically accurate modelling reports
Knowledge of programming/macro writing e.g. python scripts
Show a desire to grow with, and progress within the company and wider industry and achieve a professional qualification (e.g. CIWEM)
Appraisal of flood risk management solutions and residual risk
Preferably a relevant post graduate qualification
Degree (2:1 or above) in geography, engineering, environmental science or other relevant subject (other relevant technical qualification can be considered)
Awareness of how modelling software is used (eg. Flood Modeller (FM), TUFLOW/ESTRY and HEC-RAS)
Knowledge and understanding of basic hydrological and hydraulic principles and their practical application
