Daily inspection of vehicles to ensure all safety signs, cones, tooling, hardware, etc. are in good condition and on the truck.
Access various types of public or privately owned property to place cable, strand, anchors, poles, etc. in accordance with technical specifications.
Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Set up safe work zones on high traffic roads according to Book 7 standards.
Participate in all Health and Safety efforts including daily tailboard talks with Aerial crews.
Provide a high level of safety, productivity and support to the line foreperson ensuring quality service.
Pull cable or strand by hand or with mechanical equipment.
Apply due diligence in ensuring accuracy in preparation and prompt completion of all necessary documentation (inspections, timesheets, drawings, as-builds, billing, and toolbox talks).
Work in all weather conditions, day, night, or weekends with possible overnight stays.

Ability to read and request locates.
General physical strength and stamina, and the ability to carry and climb a twenty-eight-foot extension ladder weighing 80 pounds.
Strong work ethic, self-disciplined, motivated, and organized.
Valid Driver’s License. AZ or DZ is a strong asset. Clean Driver’s Abstract.
Ability to work independently or as a part of a crew to perform all types of Outside Plant aerial construction and maintenance/repair work.
Experience using Line & Bucket trucks, climbing poles using spurs or ladders, or the ability to learn to do so.
Be a positive team member through open communication and active participation in crew tasks.
Experience in interpreting communication design drawings.
This role requires travel.
Knowledge of CVOR requirements.
Familiar with handling of fiber and copper cables.
Hands-on experience placing cable, poles, down guys, anchors, strand, hardware, and vertical ground wires, or the ability to learn to do so.
