Collaborating with existing GIS staff members working in other Stantec offices.
Managing a wide variety of project-specific and reference geospatial data in accordance with defined data management standards.
Prepare web maps, online dashboards, and manage data for field survey crews, using applications and platforms which include Survey 123, Field Maps, and ArcGIS Online.
Supporting geospatial field data collection efforts. Typical collected features include wetlands, waterways and rare, threatened, or endangered species occurrences or habitats.
Compile, create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information for a variety of platforms primarily involving ESRI ArcGIS Software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online (AGO)).
Adhering to established cartographic standards and Quality Assurance / Quality Control processes.
Produce custom thematic map products and carry out data analysis/summaries to support multidisciplinary project deliverables.

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience providing professional (non-coursework) related GIS Services.
Knowledge of Arcade, Python, and other GIS Programming languages.
Valid state driver’s license
Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
Work in Windows 11 Enterprise and using MS Office suite of applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint).
Technical training and experience in GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and geographic principles (e.g., map projections and coordinate systems).
Experience working with LiDAR data.
Experience performing environmental fieldwork using a GPS and post-processing data is beneficial but not required.
Ability to meet project deadlines and understand how assigned tasks relate to project goals.
Educated knowledge and experience working with Esri ArcGIS software suite, primarily ArcPro and ArcGIS Online, as well as ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS for Desktop.
Working knowledge CAD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation platforms.
Experience building and using a GIS to solve problems, present results, and graphically report analytical data for multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrates a knowledge of cartography and at least some understanding of graphic design.
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in GIS, Geography, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or related field with demonstrated GIS training or coursework.
Exceptional visual, written, and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Prior experience in the delivery of GIS products and analytical solutions as they relate to Environmental Assessments, site assessments, and the Environmental Regulatory Process is an asset.
Ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Understands how to convert data from older sources such as maps and books into accurate digital formats.
Ability to perform work accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
