The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations, material accountability, scrap processing, and inventory replenishment. Responsibilities include tracking materials used and returned, managing scrap breakdown and processing, maintaining truck stock inventory, and keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and operational. The role also assists with material deliveries, job‑site inspections, and supply runs.
Materials management duties involve tracking and managing both used and returned materials, performing checks and balances for accuracy, maintaining inventory records to support replenishment, and managing daily and weekly truck stock.
Scrap management requires overseeing breakdown and processing of scrap, logging weights with photos, inspecting scrap for proper separation, coordinating runs to the scrap yard, and uploading documentation into the system.
Warehouse operations include keeping the space clean, organized, and safe; assisting with loading, unloading, and staging materials; delivering materials to job sites; and ensuring proper storage and labeling of all items.
Job‑site and field support entails traveling to sites to inspect materials versus pickups, uploading inspection documentation, and assisting technicians with material pickups and returns.
Purchasing and errands involve helping order materials, making supply runs to vendors such as Home Depot, and supporting inventory replenishment efforts.
Financial and administrative tasks consist of depositing checks according to company procedures and maintaining accurate documentation for all assigned transactions.
Required skills include strong attention to detail, basic inventory and material‑handling knowledge, ability to follow systems and documentation requirements, comfort using mobile devices for photos and forms, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the physical ability to lift and move materials.
Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lb, working in a warehouse environment, and traveling to job sites, vendors, and scrap yards.
Compensation is hourly, ranging from $17 to $19 based on experience. The position does not provide holiday pay, paid time off, or employer‑sponsored benefits.
