  • Develops and maintain operators' training and competencies on the plant operations
  • Ensures the documents relating to the works (safety documentation, daily report, logbook, etc.) are correctly completed by the operators;
  • Promotes and build a safety culture;
  • Completing frequent rounds of the facility;
  • Oversees the effective operation of the plant in accordance with the safety and production requirements;
  • LEADERSHIP - Guide the team to deliver excellent results by working together towards shared goals.
  • Ensure all required operational records are generated accurately and in a timely manner
  • Promotes continuous improvement in the operations team for example by:
  • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT - Provide directions, support and advice to team members. Assist management in resolving conflict and poor performance. Establish rules and initiatives to promote good team work.
  • Lead operational meetings (ex. pre-shift meetings) and discussions, establish good communication between team members;
  • Collaborates with the technical director to ensure the operational planning and decisions are based on science and aligned with the analysis and observations of the plant behavior;
  • Ensures that the required Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other operational documents are created and updated as required;
  • Participate in the investigation of work-related accidents;
  • Works as part of a team, adapting to the needs of operation and adjusting the time dedicated to the plant.
  • Reports daily to the plant manager to advise and discuss operational performance;
  • Sharing ideas and opinions on how to improve operations and team performance;
  • Making notes of all deficiencies and Safety and concerns to assign work orders accordingly;
  • Prepares different reports for the attention of the Plant Manager, Client, Technical department and others;
  • ADAPTABILITY - Maintain and build adaptability and an open minded approach in the team. Promote a positive attitude to change.
  • Organizes the operational tasks and allocate them to the relevant teams;
  • Improve structure and operational expertise of the team
  • ACCOUNTABILITY - Be accountable for the performance of the team. Take action when goals are not met and provide solutions
  • Lead the operations teams (directly and through the team leaders)
  • Maintains recognition and discipline for all direct reports;
  • Takes control of the distribution of tasks to manage holidays and/or absences;
  • Is responsible for leading the Management of Change (MoC) processes;
  • Collaborates with the maintenance manager and maintenance team to ensure all required proactive and corrective maintenance are carried out in a timely manner;

  • 10 years experience in managing multiple teams;
  • ENGAGEMENT : demonstrate involvement, commitment, and accountability in driving positive outcomes, aiming to inspire and motivate employees, fostering a positive work environment and boosting performance.
  • Is capable of trouble shooting the plant when not operating at the expected level;
  • Gains deep understanding of all plant processes (Anaerobig dIgestion, Dewatering, Water treatment, etc.), operations, equipment (centrifuges, compressors, pumps, etc.), technologies to:
  • TEAMWORK AND COMMUNICATION - Be the link between management and the operators, enduring strong, transparent communication and teamwork.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar processes/plants.
  • Graduate with post-secondary education;
  • TEAM DEVELOPMENT - Sharing experience and help people to develop their skills and knowledge
