Disputes and Claims: Makes final decisions for claims under the Disputes clause, after consulting with legal staff.
Safety Program Administration: Fully responsible for the implementation of the District's safety program within the Area Office. Ensures periodic safety meetings and maintains compliance with all safety regulations for both government and contractor personnel.

Work Planning and Organization: Leads and plans work for the Area Office and its subordinates, setting priorities and developing schedules. Provides guidance on both technical and administrative issues. Reviews and approves budgetary estimates and justifications for fiscal resources.

Performing contract administration functions, including overseeing contractor performance, change orders, and claims.
