  • Participate in training for career development, safety and maintaining required certifications
  • Assist with performing in-lab FTIR sample analyses and building of calibrations
  • Comply with all permits and sign in procedures for the site
  • Assist with data processing and report writing
  • Set up, operate, and maintain analytical testing equipment
  • Drive a company tow vehicle in a Commercial Vehicle Driver (CMV) capacity to transport the mobile lab and test equipment to the job site
  • Work closely with customers during in-field testing projects
  • Assist in developing and writing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participate in a comprehensive Job Safety Analysis at the jobsite
  • Maintain and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • With assistance, troubleshoot and repair analytical instrumentation and sampling equipment
  • Record data and field notes and relay pertinent process details to supervisor
  • Perform in-field FTIR-based stack testing according to established procedures
  • Ensure job site is clean, organized and free of obstructions or tripping hazards

  • Work accurately, safely and efficiently
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in an analytical laboratory setting preferred
  • Flexibility is a must as the position may require weekend travel or work for a few projects during the year
  • Ability to work in outdoor industrial settings, including climbing to and working on elevated platforms (50ft - 300ft).
  • FTIR-based testing of emission sources preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, chemistry preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Capacity for overnight and local travel for multi-weekday projects 25%-75% of the time or more
  • Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting heavy materials up to 50 pounds
