The role involves greeting customers at the dealership, providing equipment recommendations, conducting demonstrations, managing quotes and negotiations, maintaining accurate records in CRM/Dynamics, and meeting established call and sales targets while adhering to safety policies.
- Sell the full line of John Deere Compact Construction Equipment and attachments.
- Prospect dormant, new, and walk‑in accounts to generate sales leads.
- Greet customers, assess needs, and recommend appropriate equipment.
- Make daily outbound calls to accounts and promote parts, service, and sales.
- Follow up leads and quotes within 24 hours.
- Quote, negotiate pricing and financial terms, and complete sales documentation.
- Stay current on manufacturer discounts and dealer pricing programs.
- Record all customer interactions and sales activity in CRM/Dynamics.
- Provide equipment demonstrations and walk‑arounds at the dealership.
- Achieve or exceed call and sales quota targets.
- Attend training and sales meetings to learn new equipment and technology.
- Evaluate used equipment for trade‑in value when requested.
- Adhere to all Dobbs Equipment safety policies.
- Prioritize customer needs and deliver excellent service.
- Apply common‑sense problem‑solving to written/oral instructions.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, customer service experience, and at least one year of related experience or a bachelor’s degree (preferred). The work environment includes occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather, with generally quiet noise levels. Physical demands involve regular standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), and specific visual requirements.
