Respond to public complaints
Operate a variety of equipment, including Crash Truck
Maintain accurate documentation, including diary, daily electronic timesheets, and various paperwork, etc.
Assist in the identification of deficiencies, through inspection patrols and create deficiency lists for the Foreperson
Call out and manage winter operations during winter events
Conduct daily circle checks on vehicles; clean and maintain vehicles
Perform repairs, maintenance operations and asset inspections as required
Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants in compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and ensure contractual HSE obligation for the staff and public are met
Communicate with authorities on site – police, fire etc. and liaise with MTO central dispatch to ensure adequate resources are available to maintain public safety on the highways during inclement weather and road conditions
Respond to emergency situations such as spills, accidents, inclement weather and implement an emergency plan
Provide traffic control at accident scenes, including set up and take down of traffic control signs, as required
