Serve as Civil Engineer in the development of design schematics, construction plans, specifications and estimates
Support project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects
Prepares portions of project technical reports, plans, specifications and estimates
Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the PM on assigned project tasks.
Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings

Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration

Coordinate online meetings, preparation of meeting agendas, and distribution of meeting
Assists PM as needed on work planning. Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Assists PM on ensuring proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects.
Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of projects
Develops broad knowledge and skills in public works civil engineering, drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, storm water quality (LID, WQMP, SWPPP, SMARTS) and utilities
Productively collaborates with PMs and encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other.
Performs moderate drainage design, hydrology and hydraulics analysis tasks
Works on small projects or portions of larger projects
Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry- level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff
Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality.

Proficient in HEC-RAS, AutoCAD and Civil 3D a plus
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely
Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Assists PM on ensuring that quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.
Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
