Negotiates with landowners the purchase of rights-of-way for transmission lines, land leases and land for substation sites.
May prepare written responses for Company position to property owners and associated parties.
May conduct site meetings with property owners, contractors, surveyors, realtors, developers and governmental agents to resolves issues about purchase/sale of land, rights-of-way or easements.
Assists independent real estate appraisers in preparing testimony for condemnation cases.
Handles complaints and settles crop disputes.
Addresses questions and concerns from landowners.
Accompanies contractors during rehabilitation of rights-of-way after construction to minimize damage claims.
Researches land records in county or city clerk's offices.
May testify in cases.
Appraises real estate and residual damages caused by rights-of-way.
Clears title to properties for rights-of-way and obtains deeds of release and certificates of satisfaction from lending institutes.
Examines land titles to property and other court records to determine ownership interests.
