The position supports strategic planning, reviews BIM-related bid documents, trains virtual construction technicians, and ensures model accuracy through virtual inspections.
Physical duties involve occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending, frequent hand use for handling objects, regular interaction with people and technology, occasional lifting or moving of objects, and sustained sitting, standing, or walking throughout a shift while adhering to safety standards.
- Create 3D models of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Maintain model libraries using correct Uniformat or Masterformat codes.
- Support the company's strategic planning activities.
- Perform the primary duties of a Virtual Construction Technician.
- Review bid scope documents for appropriate BIM language based on delivery type and deliverables.
- Train virtual construction technicians on approved software.
- Conduct virtual walkthroughs to identify misplaced elements.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend.
- Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, and feel objects.
- Interact regularly with people and technology during the workday.
- Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects.
- Sit, stand, or walk short distances for the duration of a shift.
- Frequently use telephone, computer, email, and other electronic devices for communication.
- Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
