Supports design, implementation, and continuous improvement of new construction utility offerings under the direction of Resource Innovations Leadership and Client Program Managers
Supports business development initiatives by serving as a new construction subject matter expert
Responsible to build and maintain a pipeline of projects planning to participate in utility programs such that energy efficiency targets and goals are achieved.
Collaborates with program management, software, outreach, data analysis, customer service, and partner teams
Supports onsite and virtual measurements and verification of "as built" results after new buildings have been commissioned
Maintains a pipeline of projects and leads and see projects through to completion
Independently audits complex buildings, evaluates building systems, and identifies energy efficiency and sustainability opportunities.
Builds and maintains relationships with market actors such as architects, engineers, planners, energy modelers, raters, builders, owners, and commercial real estate organizations to promote high performance building strategies and technologies

Solid understanding of building systems (particularly lighting and HVAC) and/or sustainability practices is necessary
Extensive familiarity with reading architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction drawings
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Construction Management, Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering is required
Knowledge and experience with building science, systems and markets
Knowledge of Grid-Interactive Efficient Building (GEB) capabilities and initiatives
Familiarity with Energy Use Intensity Metrics
Extensive familiarity with state building codes and energy codes for commercial and multi-family new construction. (examples: Utah's IECC 2021, Washington WAC 51-11C)
2+ years of experience with energy efficiency building practices
Experience with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
Must be able to travel locally and domestically up to 30% of the time
Demonstrated proficiency with building simulation software (e.g. REM/Rate, eQUEST, EnergyPro, Trane Trace, etc.)
Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus
Familiarity with Net Zero Strategies
