We are looking for enthusiastic chartered/senior engineers with a proven technical and project management track record.
A good academic background with a degree (ideally MSc or equivalent) with Chartered status in civil or structural engineering (is a requirement).
Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and lead tunnelling design teams.
Candidates should have the right flair and ability that will help us develop and expand our tunnelling capability. We want to build on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work. A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.
Project management – experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management.
Application of CDM Regulations. Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.
Proven tunnelling design experience in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment and advanced constitutive soil models and experience of numerical modelling software (FLAC or PLAXIS). Use in relation to dynamic soil-structure interaction problems would be a benefit.
Proven experience using advanced structural analysis and experience of numerical modelling software (Robot or STAAD). Use in relation to BIM-integrated workflows to exchange data with Revit would be a benefit.
