The Senior SCADA Engineer will be responsible for system conceptual design, performance specifications, configuration, integration, and ongoing support of SCADA/ADMS systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation and control issues.
We are seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA systems for utility and industrial clients. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who can lead projects, mentor others, and interface effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity practices relevant to operational technology (OT) systems.
- Approximately 25% travel, including occasional overnight trips to job sites or client locations.
- Maintain working knowledge of electrical distribution system protection, relaying, and related control schemes.
- Hands-on experience with PLC/RTU programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and DNP3.
- Proficiency in one or more SCADA software platforms (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, Survalent, SEL, OSI, etc.).
- 8+ years of experience in SCADA, automation, or ADMS engineering, including at least 2 years working with power system distribution or substation SCADA systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (required).
