The Shipping and Receiving Lead is a highly visible role that supports Schumacher’s manufacturing operations, working Monday‑Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with potential overtime. The position oversees inbound order processing, daily package preparation for FedEx and UPS, and ensures accurate shipment and inventory/replenishment tracking.
- Receive and process incoming production orders.
- Prepare FedEx and UPS shipments for daily pickups.
- Ship and confirm orders, including consolidated pallets and drop‑ships.
- Accurately input order quantities into ERP and verify inventory.
- Measure order quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal logistics to schedule timely pickups.
- Securely pack products and generate packing lists, bills of lading, and labels.
- Prepare fabric and wallpaper grounds for printers each day.
- Break down, re‑palletize, shrink‑wrap, and label shipments.
- Coordinate customs, brokers, and clearance for international shipments.
- Receive raw material shipments and record quantities in ERP.
- Support implementation of new tracking and inventory systems.
- Inspect outgoing orders for damage and quality issues.
- Track inventory, weekly shipping targets, and submit replenishment orders.
- Maintain a clean workstation, dispose of trash/recyclables, and assist other operations as needed.
- Prioritize shifting orders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Success in this role requires excellent communication, bilingual (Spanish) capability, strong MS Office skills, and experience with ERP, material receiving, and inventory control. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, physically capable of handling heavy loads, and able to thrive in a target‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access).
- Experience receiving, counting, and stocking materials; ERP experience preferred.
- Proactive, accountable problem‑solver with high ownership.
- Willingness to work overtime and additional shifts as needed.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to keep the work area tidy.
- Physically able to lift 60 lb, use ladders, and perform repetitive motions.
