  • giving flood risk advice to influence our regulatory functions. For example planning applications under the Town and Country Planning Act and/or Flood Risk Activity Permits under the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
  • giving flood risk advice and guidance to customers and partner organisations, including community groups and local councils.
  • Are a statutory consultee for planning applications. Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
  • responding to enquiries and requests for flood risk mapping and modelling data
  • Work with Local Councils, community flood groups, other partners to deliver FCRM outcomes
  • Regulate flood risk activities by assessing applications for Flood Risk Activity Permits. This is through the Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2016
