Technical Lead (Workplace Technology Systems)

Description

• Manage cloud infrastructure, security, performance, and scalability.
• Oversee data engineering, analytics dashboards, and end-to-end data pipelines.
• Automate workflows for design, procurement, estimation, and on-site operations.
• Collaborate closely with design, project, and leadership teams to convert business needs into technical features.
• Lead full-cycle development of workplace technology platforms including:
• Design system architecture, platform structure, user flows, and backend frameworks.
• Mentor an existing development team and scale the tech function as products expand.
• Build AI/ML-driven models for predictive analytics, simulations, and insights.

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building products from scratch, leading small engineering teams, and converting real-world operational challenges into scalable digital solutions for a high end Workspace Design firm.

• Solid understanding of data pipelines, cybersecurity principles, and system reliability.
• Exposure to digital twin concepts, IoT, BIM workflows, construction/workplace tech is a strong advantage.
• 5–6 years of experience in full-stack development, product engineering, or tech leadership.
• Proven experience building web applications, internal tools, or SaaS products from scratch.
• Ability to work in a hands-on capacity while also leading and mentoring a tech team.

• Strong understanding of APIs, architecture design, databases, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with AI/ML models, predictive analytics, or dashboarding tools.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js / Python / Java + React/Angular/Vue.
