Senior Lead Technician - Inverness-Shire and Aberdeenshire

Description

In this role you will supervise a group of Lead Technicians across Inverness‑shire and Aberdeenshire, ensuring that tasks and works in the region are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

• Analyse defects on wind turbine generators (WTG) and communicate with LOM/Tech Ops
• Perform complex autonomous turbine repairs
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspection activities
• Prepare reports and checklists to inform LOM of site activities
• Document and complete snag lists after maintenance
• Train new technicians in the area
• Liaise with clients and site management
• Manage large‑scale projects
• Prioritise work to minimise downtime and costs
• Supervise local teams and vehicle operations
• Order spare parts for the area in a timely manner
• Manage subcontractors on site
• Produce technical reports on major failures
• Agree on two‑week planner with lead technicians and service coordinator
• Assess team performance through appraisal system
• Handle disciplinary issues with LOM support
• Maintain strong customer focus

Requirements

• Demonstrate good planning and organisational skills
• Use MS Office, in‑house databases and workload management systems proficiently
