Accountant II, Finance

Description

The accountant will oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, collaborate with finance, tax, IT, legal and technical accounting partners, and ensure financial controls and system solutions are applied.

• Prepare cash reconciliations, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and consolidation during month‑end close.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams including Finance, Tax, IT, Legal, and Technical Accounting.
• Support implementation of financial controls, processes, and system solutions.
• Assist internal and external audits and prepare quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Drive process improvements to simplify and accelerate the close process.

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong collaboration and flexibility in handling ad‑hoc tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent education/experience.
• Semi‑qualified CA (preferred), qualified CA (optional) or MBA in Finance (optional).
• 3–5 years of operational accounting experience, preferably at a publicly traded Fortune 500 or multinational company.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and standard accounting processes and controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Oracle Fusion experience is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication with an interdisciplinary, cooperative approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, set clear priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑changing environment.
