What you would be doing

  • Develop processes of direct communication with tenants, relatives of tenants, the wider community and external parties.
  • Ensure that each Sheltered Housing scheme meets the regulatory standards for all health and safety and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that effective, sensitive management practices are maintained by implementing Onward management procedures within the scheme.
  • Oversee the day to day running of scheme, including reporting repairs, health and safety concerns, reducing risk and ensuring security of the building is maintained.
  • Liaise with health and social care providers, voluntary agencies, and others assisting tenants to maintain their accommodation.
  • Provide each tenant with an agreed level of intensive housing management. Respond to tenant and scheme emergencies. Provide each resident with regular contact and a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEPS)
  • Ensure all voids, lettings and housing management issues are communicated to neighbourhoods ensuring collaborative working.
  • Ensure the property logbooks are up to date and all requirements are met.

  • Skilled communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of building management and compliance requirements
  • Relevant knowledge of Health and Safety policies and risks
  • Experience of dealing with older people in a service environment
  • Experience of working proactively to improve services and customer satisfaction
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • IT skills – Microsoft office up to an intermediate level.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as part of a dispersed team
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements
  • National Wardens Certificate / Sheltered Housing Certificate or equivalent
