Billing Administrator

Description

• Enter data into the operational management system (OMS) for invoicing.
• Review job paperwork, ensure required documents are available, and enter data with backup documentation for the client.
• Request system edits, revisions, or editions as needed.
• Update and maintain various Excel reports as required.
• Respond to customer emails regarding invoice disputes or inquiries.
• Follow up with internal contacts to confirm billing items.
• Identify data discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
• Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.

Requirements

Our GFL site in Pickering, Ontario is seeking a Billing Administrator to manage the billing process, including creating and processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. The role demands strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to resolve discrepancies while communicating with clients and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.

• Understand client needs to correctly send required documents.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Prior experience in the waste industry is considered an asset.
• Previous billing or administrative experience is considered an asset.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
