The role involves supervising training leads, updating training dispatches, delivering employee evaluations, creating development plans, supporting departmental goals, and tracking progress. It also includes maintaining and scheduling internal on‑the‑job (OTJ) audits, managing document changes using L2L and Trubox software, and observing and documenting missing SOPs and work instructions.
The supervisor will facilitate quarterly TWI classes for SMEs and trainer leads, create new training SOPs, work instructions, and process maps, and deliver effective hands‑on OTJ and safety/L2L classroom training at both employee and supervisor levels. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
The Continuous Improvement Training Supervisor will direct the training department to ensure quality standards are met. Key results include controlling training costs, maintaining training records, acting as an internal auditor, and providing administrative support for peer departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, initiative‑taking, analytical, a problem‑solver, and possesses a people‑first mindset.
Critical skills include adherence to Worthington Enterprises’ philosophy, strong interpersonal (Golden Rule) skills, thorough knowledge of safety and quality policies, advanced English communication, and advanced computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office and Excel. The candidate should provide continuous feedback, demonstrate a positive attitude, and possess solid digital navigation skills.
Preferred education and experience encompass prior training, coaching, or facilitation in a manufacturing setting, familiarity with Learning to Learn (L2L) and TWI programs, effective email and chat communication, and a fundamental understanding of safety, quality, operations, and training‑and‑transformation departments. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
