  • Accountable to increase the all-round performance, reliability, and availability of the designated Drills/HMS product line.
  • The Drills & Digger Technician is the link between the Customer, Westrac and Caterpillar for all HMS technical product information, documentation, and continuous improvement concepts
  • Pro-actively assist with Drills/HMS (Digger) preventative maintenance schedules, maintenance teams for planning work scopes and HMS trouble shooting.

  • HD Plant mechanic qualification/certification
  • 5+ years post trade relevant experience including Field Service exposure with Drills and/or Hydraulic Mining Shovels
  • CAT/OEM Dealership experience with CAT/Terex/Bucyrus fleet HMS 2+ years
  • Demonstrated understanding of HMS machine application on site, optimum operation knowledge
  • Ability to work autonomously or with others & lead customer work groups onsite, instruct/teach & knowledge share
  • HMS commissioning and hydraulic tune up experience
  • High level of competence on mobile hydraulic & low voltage electrical systems used in Hydraulic Mining Shovels
