What you would be doing

  • Participate in project design reviews.
  • Review and checking of Area classification drawings.
  • Review installation drawings.
  • Provide guidance for preparation of all layout drawings ,3D models and mto generation.
  • Attend model reviews as per project schedule.
  • Candidate should contribute to creating a workplace where everyone feels compelled to intervene whenever they observe an unsafe act or condition to ensure that everyone goes
  • General guidance to designers for deciding the cable tray /trench routing and review 3D models.
  • Work out the MFL for the project as per the project schedule and inform HOD well in advance if any additional resource requirements
  • Review / provide guidance for preparation of all discipline engineering and design deliverables such as slds, specifications, datasheets, BOM, Panel and Cable schedule, 3D model, interconnection wiring drawings etc.
  • Attend risk management meetings as required.
  • Site pre-commissioning activities and engineering support as required as per project scope of work.
  • Candidate should maintain the HSSEQ management system, and the tools required to implement it.
  • Review vendor documents and quotations for compliance with project requirements.
  • Attend project and team meeting.
  • Prepare with cost/resource estimates, bid evaluations and project proposals.
  • Decide the substation layouts optimizing the size and design of the same along with the design team.
  • Conduct technical training session for team.
  • Prepare/Review design basis for the project as per the client design criteria.
  • Perform inter-discipline squad checks.
  • Prepare / provide guidance for preparation of power control and distribution philosophy for electrical system.
  • Preparation or Review of Requisitions for quotation and for purchase
  • Site surveys and adequacy checks if required.
  • Review calculations for all Electrical Equipment like Power transformers, DGs, Battery Sizing, Capacitor sizing, Grounding and Lightening protection. Cable sizing etc.
  • Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform technical audits and quality reviews.
