- Lead and deliver automation and software development aligned with Orica standards.
- Troubleshoot recurring Operational Technology (OT) issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.
- Manage critical OT spares, vendor relationships and inventory control.
- Program, maintain and upgrade SCADA and PLC systems across the site.
- Provide OT engineering expertise to project teams.
- Perform calibration and maintain critical control systems.
- Design, test and improve automation equipment and workflows.

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for our ISPE site operations in Gomia. The role involves maintaining, improving, and developing automation systems, partnering with Operations and Projects teams to deliver reliable PLC/SCADA solutions, resolve recurring OT issues, and implement smarter, safer, and more efficient automated processes.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Bring at least 8 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Demonstrate strong PLC/SCADA programming, troubleshooting and testing skills.
- Possess solid understanding of software development for industrial control systems.
- Exhibit strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
- Show curiosity and passion for learning emerging technologies.
- Preferably have experience in chemical or explosives manufacturing environments.
