Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, observation, or other methods.
Read and interpret engineering/design, architectural, and structural blueprints and plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications.
Select pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports and hangers, for layout and installation.
Install hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps
Complete required paperwork/reports on each job including daily time, progress, duration, record of parts, material, labor, subs, returns, and other cost data per assignment
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
Perform cutting, fitting, and pipe connection using threaded, soldered, brazed, or grooved joints and utilizing a variety of hand tools.

Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
Able to work overtime and weekends as required by the workload.

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. No experience required for entry-level. Previous years of experience in the field or in a related area required for intermediate to skilled level.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
