Toro is seeking a Technical Training & Support Specialist to join the newly created National Support & Training team. In this role you will deliver comprehensive technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders. You will help ensure service teams, sales teams and dealer networks have the knowledge they need to succeed.
The position covers a wide range of Toro equipment, from common turf systems—electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and cutting units—to advanced technologies such as Tier 4 engine controls, alternative power sources, GPS‑guided/autonomous systems and software solutions. You will develop and implement training programs that span this full product portfolio.
Key duties include conducting in‑person and virtual training sessions, creating and evaluating instructional content, and providing high‑level diagnostics and troubleshooting for major systems such as Tier 4 diesel, EFI gasoline, hybrid power, electric power, hydrostatic transmissions, hydraulics and sprayers. Support is delivered through multiple channels—including phone, video link and on‑site visits—and you may also perform or guide mechanical work during repairs and maintenance.
The ideal candidate holds a Cert III in Mobile Plant (required) and preferably a Cert IV in Training & Assessment and Cert III in Automotive Electrical. You should have at least five years of experience diagnosing faults in related equipment, strong public‑speaking or classroom teaching skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) and familiarity with LMS platforms such as Absorb. A valid Australian driver’s licence, passport and the ability to obtain a U.S. visa are also required.
