The Role

Overview

Operate and maintain electrical systems at Haughton Solar Farm

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Follow WHS procedures, wear required PPE and participate in toolbox and safety meetings. -Conduct contractor and visitor inductions. -Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, SCADA and civil assets. -Champion a strong safety culture — report hazards, incidents and improvement opportunities. -Conduct condition monitoring, inspections and defect reporting. -Assist with asset planning, spare parts control and procurement. -Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to safety and site procedures. -Support small upgrade and modification works on assets and equipment. -Monitor the site via SCADA and provide after-hours on-call support when required. -Ensure compliance with company policies, including cyber and data protection requirements. -Troubleshoot faults, conduct shutdowns safely and record activities in the CMMS.

What You Bring

-Experience with DC systems >1000V or renewable energy assets (solar/wind) -Safety focused, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision -EWP accreditation -Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation -Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability -Experience in electrical operations and maintenance -QLD Electrical License + Electrical Trade Certificate -HV switching/permit recipient experience -Computer literate — Microsoft Office, SCADA, CMMS -10% STI eligibility annually -Ability to work well in a small team
