Undertake, review and authorise quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, in accordance with the relevant standards.
Assist in the input to new signalling schemes, checking scheme diagrams to provide compliance with risk assessments and recommended mitigations, as required.
Support the delivery of route safety meetings, including OPSRAM and TCRAG.
Lead operational input into renewal / modernisation / closureprojects for inclusion in the business plan, taking into account operating requirements and risk mitigation factors.
Determine suitable and sufficient risk control measures supported by cost benefit analysis as appropriate.
Carry out SPAD and irregular working risk ranking assessments within defined timescales and communicate the results to the designated competent person (DCP), as required.
As required, act as the team’s principal contact with both internal and external stakeholders for specific areas of risk which may include; signal risk, operating irregularities, stations, route crime and workforce health and safety.
