Description

The Janitor role focuses on keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. Core duties involve cleaning interior surfaces, floors, furniture, restrooms, and windows, handling trash, recycling, and snow removal when required, managing cleaning‑supply inventory, and reporting unsafe conditions.

• Clean interior surfaces including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and lighting fixtures.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairs, and locker rooms.
• Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture and dust all furniture.
• Disinfect high‑touch items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and restock restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
• Wash windows and mirrors.
• Empty trash, recycling, and ashtrays; dispose of waste and remove snow from sidewalks as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing items.
• Record cleaning activities on a chart and notify supervisors of unsafe or maintenance issues.
• Follow safety and precaution rules, lift up to 50 lb, and close doors at night shift end.
• Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment properly.
