Design Consultant I

Description

• Advise customers on design elements (color, texture, lighting, layout) and recommend budget‑appropriate products
• Assess design needs and suggest tile, bath, and kitchen solutions; create CAD design plans and presentations with accurate pricing
• Maintain an organized, visually appealing showroom; manage inventory, display products, and place orders as needed
• Stay current on design trends and new product offerings
• Handle incoming calls, document and resolve customer complaints
• Quote prices, prepare proposals, and coordinate sales and delivery
• Lift, carry, or move materials and product samples up to 25 lb
• Use hands and fingers to handle samples, operate a computer, and create design layouts

Requirements

The schedule consists of 8‑hour shifts, including weekends, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is on‑site, requiring prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting of items up to 25 lb. Legal work authorization in the United States must be verified via E‑Verify.

• 1–3 years of experience in design consulting or sales
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with proven ability to close sales
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail‑oriented and able to multitask
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the showroom
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and samples
• Visual acuity to review design plans, color swatches, and detailed product information
