The Role
Overview
Lead design and delivery of defence projects as a Project Architect
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Coordinate with project consultants (ie. electrical, mechanical, structural) -Undertake site reviews and construction administration -Manage client relationships and actively develop these throughout the project process -Lead, motivate, and manage the project team to produce successful design and construction documentation -Push the boundaries of design while meeting the needs of clients and end-users; participate in stakeholder meetings, create design concepts and presentation material -Resolve complex design and technical issues -Develop project criteria, the scope of services, detailed work plans, drawing lists, schedules, and resource (staff, technical, and budget) requirements over the project lifecycle -Work with talented architects and technologists to produce quality projects for private sector clients -Ensure projects are delivered effectively through efficient resource management and by achieving scheduled milestones

What You Bring
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Project Architect to complement our Vancouver office, where we are involved in exciting work across a range of building types, including commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, hospitality, public buildings, and healthcare. You will provide design leadership on various projects and may oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on specialized design and act as a design resource for specific components of projects. You may work on several concurrent projects of varying sizes, including those that are large and complex. Assist in the education and development of design staff. Defence Projects experience is essential. -B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited architectural program, coupled with a minimum of 10+ years of architectural experience; 5 years minimum in defence projects. -Excellent graphic communication and presentation skills -Registration with a provincial regulatory board and Secret Level clearance required -Experience leading projects of at least $25m (construction value) with minimal supervision -An innovative and forward-thinking approach to design and a natural curiosity for staying current with new trends, materials, and construction methods -An ability to add value to all stages of project delivery -Strong technical knowledge and technical drawing experience in Revit -Effective written and oral communication skills
