As a Lead Mechanical Engineer you will provide mechanical engineering support to the Enterprise Capital Engineering, Mill Sustaining team. The role supports capital projects through development, layout, design, installation and start‑up of equipment and ancillary systems for the North America Tissue Value Stream, and reports to the Engineering Manager, Mill Sustaining Capital.
You will drive the development and execution of capital projects using Kimberly‑Clark North America Project Management Practices, lead by example in safety, ethics, quality and sustainability, and coach and mentor team members to improve the tissue value‑stream business results.
Collaboration is central – you will work with R&D, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers, external service providers and construction contractors, while maintaining technical expertise and communicating the impact of new technologies.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years of mill or production experience, strong PMP capabilities, experience managing $100 k‑$5 M projects, and expertise in high‑speed manufacturing equipment, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, with preferred paper‑industry experience.
