Support the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and Canadian/other filing requirements
Support and implement standard financial controls, policies and procedures across the organization
Conduct research, draw relevant conclusions based on technical guidance, and implement process to bridge reporting gaps
Help drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and recommend changes to drive improved accuracy and efficiency while reducing time to close the books
Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial files for external Board of Directors, Bank, and Audit compliance
Assist in evaluating current Vista ERP modules and migration with Oracle EPM consolidation reporting
Support Annual / (Quarterly) consolidated budget (forecast) coordination and preparation to all profit centers
Quarterly board of director presentations
Support company tax filings and analysis with third parties and auditors
Support the annual financial audit with divisional controllers and accounting team

Construction industry experience in a union environment preferred
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced business to recognize and prioritize duties within deadlines
Strong percentage of completion (POC) accounting experience
Proven leadership skills
Competency in Microsoft applications, Excel & Word.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in technical accounting including a minimum of 2 years with a major accounting firm
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and MSA or MBA
Public company / IPO experience a plus
