Analyst, Project Development

Description

• Assist project managers in tracking cross‑functional project progress and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Research zoning, permitting, environmental and land‑use requirements.
• Coordinate stakeholder communication and maintain project documentation.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
• Document and refine standard operating procedures to boost team productivity.
• Support KPI creation, monitoring, and reporting on timelines, cycle times, and performance dashboards.
• Prepare regular status updates for senior leadership highlighting risks and delays.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, and finance teams to align project requirements and conduct risk assessments.
• Facilitate information flow across teams to keep development milestones on schedule.
• Help execute strategic initiatives across Operations, including interconnection, preconstruction, and technology projects.
• Produce presentations, reports, and materials for executive decision‑making.

Requirements

The Project Development Analyst will support strategic initiatives within the Operations team, working closely with project managers, engineering, finance, and external stakeholders to advance projects efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role is suited for recent graduates or emerging professionals with at least one year of experience who enjoy data analysis, process improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration. Engineering backgrounds are preferred, but strong analytical and organizational skills and a passion for renewable energy are essential.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, environmental studies or related field.
• 1+ year experience in business operations, energy, or related roles via jobs, internships or projects.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities to turn data into insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Tableau, Power BI or Looker a plus.
• Familiarity with project‑management tools such as Asana, Smartsheet or Notion.
• Engineering coursework preferred but not required.
