As a Senior Engineer you will join a cross-functional, multi-disciplined team to build user-facing experiences for millions of users. You will work through the full development lifecycle—implementing features, building systems, resolving issues and maintaining services—while collaborating closely with product, design and other engineers.
The role emphasizes technical leadership, continuous learning and mentorship. You will lead technical discussions, shape the squad’s ways of working, and help upskill teammates, all within an agile, fast-paced environment that values quality and reliability.
- Write, test, and document high-quality code following REA engineering standards.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions for property visualisation (photos, video, 3D tours).
- Lead technical discussions, drive strategic initiatives, and own epics from conception to delivery.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams to assess feasibility and risk.
- Own and enhance existing services, address bugs, reduce technical debt, and support on-call rotation.

- Proficient in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript and skilled in clean-code, functional programming, TDD, micro-services, and CI/CD.
- Experience across the full stack (frontend, backend, data pipelines) and delivering end-to-end product features.
- Strong communication and agile teamwork skills; ability to operate in fast-paced environments.
- Hands‑on with DevOps tools (Docker, Git, GCP/AWS) and commitment to “you build it, you run it.”
