What you would be doing

  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
  • Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow
  • You will be working closely with another Drainage Engineer to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities
  • Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
  • Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.

  • Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
  • A manual UK Drivers licence is mandatory with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Competent in IT, accurate data entry
  • Experience is desirable however if you're looking to start your career within utilities full training will be offered.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
Benefits
  • Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, days. Flexible start times)
