MBP is seeking future design and construction industry leaders looking for growth opportunities and working on meaningful projects that support our community. For this position, we seek candidates with 12 or more years of combined education and/or experience in construction/project management to support MBP’s growth and advancement in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Experience in supporting the successful completion of new and or/renovation projects in education (higher-ed and K-12), healthcare, laboratory, data center, and/or federal or local government projects is desired. Evidence of progressive career development and demonstrated expertise in construction management, project management, engineering design, or related fields.

- Skilled at preparing clear, concise, and accurate reports and presentations.
- Crisis management/problem resolution.
- Engineering principles, principles of construction management and project controls, with specialized knowledge in several areas, including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques.
- PE and/or other specific certification, such as CCM, PMP, and/or CQM, preferred.
- Capable of managing multiple assignments.
- Experience in the use of industry project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SharePoint, etc. is preferred.
- Ability to establish positive and productive working relationships with peer leaders, superiors, and subordinates.
- Ability to analyze and optimize internal and external processes.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred, but may be offset with relevant experience.
- Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within three months of hire.
- Engineering mathematics and statistical analysis techniques.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work and effectively act as a representative of the Owner/Client.
- Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.
- Ability to understand and interpret design documents, specifications, and contract documents.
- An understanding of technical jargon and the ability to translate photographic and written engineer-centric language into a clear and concise brief report.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals.
- Basic project management and supervisory principles.
- Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
- Proficiency with many software applications, including Microsoft Office programs, BIM Platforms (such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk 360), and BlueBeam.
- Basic data processing principles as related to the solution of engineering problems.
