Controller, Supply Chain

Description

The Supply Chain Financial Controller will act as co‑leader of the Topcon Canada Finance department, partnering with a three‑person finance team and taking ownership of accounting and reporting for all supply‑chain related accounts, including inventory and accounts receivable, while collaborating with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and operations.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement presentation for supply‑chain accounting.
• Partner with purchasing to forecast demand and process site‑based purchase orders.
• Improve financial operation metrics, focusing on inventory months‑on‑hand and AR turnover.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain an internal control framework.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for supply‑chain activities.
• Mentor and develop finance team members.
• Collaborate with auditors for quarterly reviews and the annual audit.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Possess 5+ years of finance/accounting experience with strong analytical and detail‑oriented skills.
• Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; SAP experience is a plus.
• Exhibit strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
