Technicians will install, service and maintain portable fire extinguishers in line with current British Standard Guidelines, plan and complete call visits efficiently, and build professional relationships with a wide client base. They are accountable for area planning, timely reactive maintenance, clear communication of system status, and coordination with service administrators. Managing vehicle stock, tools, equipment and conducting site surveys are also required.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience in fire extinguisher servicing, a qualification demonstrating competence with BS5306 parts 3 and 8, and a technical background in the mechanical fire industry. Front‑line customer service experience, BAFE/FETA certification (or equivalent) with three‑year refresher training, and the ability to work unsupervised are essential. Candidates must be computer literate, able to produce quotes, hold a full driving licence and be flexible to travel for work and training.

The role involves planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection systems and portable extinguishers, with national coverage through a reactive delivery model. The package offers a basic salary up to £27,000 per annum, commission, overtime, pension and other benefits, with OTE up to £40,000.
