The Automation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of automation projects, with a primary focus on the Electrical, Industrial IT, and Automation (EIA) phase. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and aligned with organizational standards. The role serves as the central point of accountability for project scheduling, staffing, and stakeholder communication throughout the EIA process.
- Write Operator Manual of installation and provide user training as well as the technical file of the equipment
- Update as-built electrical drawings
- Define internal and external resource requirements
- Develop I/O List from Equipment List and P&ID
- Define the design with process team and validate the functional description and write functional analysis
- Develop a specification of EIA material
- Establish a regular client contact and document each meeting
- Coordination with other departments and division to establish an offer by estimating EIA part and proposing an architecture
- Make internal tests / FAT / SAT / Commissioning documenting their respective protocols
- Develop Automation program and/or HMI program from internal development specifications or those of the client
- Manage budgets and control the changes
- Take note of user requirement specification
- Supervise contractors and advancement of manufacturing (supplier and customer site)
- Define a schedule with different milestones and weekly monitoring
- Establish a requirement specification for electrical consulting (cabinet manufacturing and wiring on site)
- Defend the offer to the customer with the team designated to establish the offer
- Coordinate and ensure the commissioning of facilities
- Make internals tests, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and Commissioning, document their respective protocols

Experience: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience Or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
Travel: up to 40% required
This position requires proficiency in both French and English, as the nature of the duties involves regular communication with clients across Canada and the United States. The requirement for English is essential to perform these responsibilities effectively.
