The IT Support Manager oversees our technical support team. This role manages a team of support specialists and ensures high-quality technical assistance and support to our internal users. This role collaborates with other IT teams to resolve escalated issues, implement best practices, maintain vendor interactions, and continuously improve our support processes.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to resolve escalated issues and ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor and analyze support desk metrics and trends, preparing regular reports for management
  • Oversee daily operations of the support desk, including monitoring ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate asset and licensing tracking
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical support, cybersecurity, and service management
  • Develop and implement support desk procedures, policies, and workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Set performance goals for the team and individual team members, conducting regular performance evaluations
  • Manage vendor relationships related to support desk services and tools
  • Manage and lead a team of support technicians & support specialists, providing guidance, training, and mentorship
  • Identify and implement improvements to support processes and systems, leveraging automation and technology where applicable
  • Handle complex or sensitive customer issues and ensure proper escalation and resolution

  • proven experience as a Support Desk Manager or similar role, with a strong background in technical support
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices in IT service managemen
  • Experience in managing support operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ticketing systems and knowledge management tools
  • Leadership experience is a must
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous, as are relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, HDI)
  • Ability to move or lift IT-related objects (Computers, Printers, Monitors, etc.) that weigh up to 50 lbs
