Routinely operate as the after-hours on-call. This will include responding to any issues within the data centers and managing the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s).
Ensures Fire / Life Safety systems which include wet sprinkler systems, pre-action sprinkler systems, clean agent suppression systems, and their associated detection devices are operation ready.
Monitors electrical / critical power distribution from the Utility / Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load to ensure operational readiness.
Coordinates daily with a multitude of third-party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs and monitor completion of PM’s.
Engage in IDIQ improvement projects and driving them from conception to completion.
Oversee Work order projections and ensure deliverables are met in accordance with performance work statement(s).
Report and coordinate with Facility Project Manager and / or Deputy Project Manager
Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the performance work statement and done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers.
Ensure inspection rounds are complete, and any deficiencies are documented / and or corrected.
Monitors, maintains, and responds to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include Mechanical, Electrical, Fire / Life Safety, and Building Monitoring and Control.
Reads blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical order to determine methods and sequences of processes.
Must wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection where the company requires.
Ensures data center operates at maximum operational efficiency, including analyzing existing operating conditions, recommending new technologies and improving overall efficiency, and cost reduction.
Provides support to trades in the Installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and electrical systems in a data center.
Works with the Lead Technicians to track and complete Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Tasks and Services.
